17 September 2015 – The UHL Annual Public Meeting takes place on Thursday 17th September 2015.
The venue will be at The Big Shed, Freeman’s Common, Leicester. Open to the public – free entry – free parking at venue.
Timetable:
4.00pm to 6.00pm Health & Information Fair – Radio Fox will be attending the Health Fair so please feel free to come along and ask us any questions.
Refreshments will be available.
6.30pm Annual Public Meeting opens – Songs from the Highs and Lows Children’s Choir
Welcome and Introductions – Mr Karamjit Singh C.B.E., Chairman
6.45pm Presentation – Mr John Adler, Chief Executive

09 September 2015 – A new show begins on Radio Fox every Friday from 5pm until 6pm.
Join Jas Minhas every Friday from 5pm until 6pm for ‘That’s Entertainment’. It’s a brand new show on Radio Fox featuring interviews with actors and sports personalities and reviews of local events & entertainment. Plus of course a superb selection of great music. So set yourself up for the weekend and tune in to ‘That’s Entertainment’.

02 September 2015 – This weekend meet Radio Fox at the Syston Carnival and the Knighton Park Family Fun Day.
This weekend it’s PA season on Planet Radio Fox. Beginning on Saturday 5th September the Syston Carnival opens at 12 midday. Radio Fox will be in attendance providing the music and introducing the program of events. Funfair, stalls, games, and main arena events. Come along and meet some of the team.
Then on Sunday 6th September it will be the Knighton Park Family Fun Day. Come and enjoy an amazing day of main arena events, stalls & funfair. As always Radio Fox will be there providing the music and presenting the acts. Come and see the faces behind the voices.

27 August 2015 – Bank Holiday Monday Summer Special at Radio Fox.
It’s not much fun being in hospital on a summer bank holiday. So all your friends at Radio Fox have decided if you’re in hospital then we’re going to come in as well. We’re planning a day of live entertainment and summer fun with request shows live from the wards. The presenters will be wearing their Hawaiian shirts, shorts and flip flops, they’ll be sand in the sandwiches and seagulls too. Alan T’s German wife will be in early to put her towel on the sunbed. If you’ve just left hospital and don’t fancy a day trip to Skeggy then you can still listen to our Summer Special from this website. Just click here Listen Live.
The fun begins with Alan T at 8am all the way through to the (seaside) Rock Show with Rockin’ Richard Leatherland at 8pm. Prizes, giveaways and fun all day long. Radio Fox new boy Witold does his first ever solo show at 5pm. Hope you can join us on the day.

17 August 2015 – Radio Fox had a very successful day on Sunday at the Leicester Mercury Motor Show.
A big thanks to all the people who stopped by to hello. It was a gloriously sunny day (thank heavens) and we sold loads of books, DVDs and vinyl. We made a few more ££s to add to our fundraising drive to replace our ageing audio desk with a shiny new one. However still a way to go! A big thanks to Marie Smith for all the effort she put in, right down to baking the cakes. What we didn’t know was that she has a thing about minions, who knew….

4 August 2015 – Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire Sir Clive Loader joins Ruth Carroll on the Library Show.
Sir Clive Loader finds time from his incredibly busy schedule to be today’s guest on The Library Show, behold the power of cake. The highlights from today’s show will be broadcast on our Monday bank holiday special on 31st August. Ruth asks questions posed by the patients of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital.

13 July 2015 – A new show begins tonight on Radio Fox. The 6-2-8 Show…
A new show that will run over the summer holiday period will begin tonight. It is called the 6-2-8 Show and as the name suggests it runs from 6pm until 8pm. Marie ‘Smiffy The Girl Wonder’ Smith and Michael Lord will be the hosts. What does the show include. We don’t know it’s all top secret, we’ll all have to tune in tonight to find out. Did I tell you it’s on from 6pm until 8pm?

7 July 2015 – On Saturday 11th July from 1pm until 4pm Radio Fox will be holding a secondhand book & media sale in the reception area of The Glenfield Hospital.
If you need some different reading material or would like to buy some DVDs, CDs or videos come to Glenfield and check out what Radio Fox has for sale. We are fundraising so that our aging audio desk in the studio can be replaced. Maybe you have some books or old videos you would like to donate. So please come along on Saturday to The Glenfield Hospital from 1pm until 4pm. Marie Smith (AKA The Girl Wonder) and Alan T will be in attendance (and Mrs T too)
Radio Fox Goes Green with Asda at Oadby

2 July 2015 – Now you can support Radio Fox by shopping at Asda and putting your Green Token in the container.
The Asda store at Oadby Leicester have accepted a nomination to raise money for Radio Fox through their green token scheme. So if you shop there please ask for your Green Token and put it in the container marked Hospital Radio Fox located at the store.
The money will go towards replacing essential equipment in the studio. Radio Fox is a registered charity and provides a free service broadcasting music and relevant information to the patients of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital 24 hours a day as well as online – every day of the year. We receive no official funding from any source. Radio Fox is run entirely by volunteers.
The Asda green token scheme is part of the Asda Foundation supporting local charities.
