New Years Honours for Radio Fox presenters
2 January 2016 – It’s good news. Two Radio Fox presenters have been nominated for Female Presenter of the Year by the Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA) The HBA is a national organisation that represents all the hospital radio stations in the United Kingdom.
Radio Fox presenters Emily Crewe and Tindy C have both been nominated for this prestigious award. Also nominated is one of the Radio Fox specialist music programmes called It’s That Soul & Motown Show which is hosted by Alan T.
Winners of the awards will be announced at a ceremony in March 2016, so fingers crossed for Radio Fox.
You can listen to Emily every Tuesday on the Patients Requests Show from 8pm. Tindy C can be heard on Wednesday afternoons from 1pm. It’s That Soul & Motown Show is on every Wednesday from 7pm. Apologies to our listeners outside of the hospital. Due to computer problems our internet streaming service is unavailable. We are working hard to restore this and we will be back online as soon as possible.
Broadcasting to the patients at the Leicester Royal Infirmary is unaffected and continues 24 hours a day, every day.

A new show begins on Radio Fox – Tuesday 15th December 4pm until 6pm
14 December 2015 – Be sure to listen to tune into Radio Fox from 4pm every Tuesday to hear Mr Kristian’s Afternoon Show.
Every week from 4pm until 6pm join Kristian Harding as he presents his all new show aptly named Mr Kristian’s Afternoon Show. Expect a varied mix of great music and interesting features. Call in on the usual numbers for instant requests.
Kristian used to co-present on the Thursday edition of the Patients Request Show where he was known as Agent K. Agent K has now defected to the ‘other side’ and left the ‘dark side’ behind. As always Radio Fox is FREE to listen to and free to call from the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital.

Just in time for some Christmas pressie bargains….
This Friday our book and media sale will be held at The Glenfield Hospital to help Radio Fox raise funds for new equipment. Come and buy books, vinyl, videos, CDs or DVDs. Or if you have loads of books you would like to donate feel free to bring those along on the day. Every penny will go into the fund to replace our ageing studio equipment.
Radio Fox receives no official funding from any source. We are raising funds to buy new studio equipment so that we can continue to broadcast to the patients of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital.
Radio Fox is run by a dedicated team of 20 or so volunteers and is funded entirely by member’s subscriptions, donations from the public, the generosity of local business, and the continuous fundraising activities of its members. Radio Fox is staffed totally by unpaid volunteers.
Join Dan Creedon tonight from 8pm for the James Bond Show on Radio Fox
26 October 2015 – To celebrate the release of the new James Bond movie ‘Spectre’ and to enjoy all things James Bond join Special Agent Dan Creedon TONIGHT on Radio Fox from 8pm until 10pm.
Join Dan Creedon for a 2 hour extravaganza of all things James Bond. Dan will be playing the top 10 James Bond songs as voted for by the Radio Fox Presenters. Special Agent Creedon will also be retrospectively appraising the best Bond movies and choosing his favourite portrayal of the legendary secret agent… Who’s you favourite Bond?
So tune into Radio Fox for all your favourite James Bond songs, Bond Trivia and clips from the movies too.

25 October 2015 – Radio Fox fundraising book and media sale a great success.
Our Book and media sale held at The Glenfield Hospital on Friday to help raise funds for new equipment was a great success. So may we say thank you to all the people who supported us on the day. Whether you bought books, vinyl, CDs or DVDs or even donated some books for us to sell we really do appreciate your support. We made over £145 on the day – thank you so much. Every penny will go into the fund to replace our ageing studio equipment.
