Sir Clive Loader visits Radio Fox
4 August 2015 – Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire Sir Clive Loader joins Ruth Carroll on the Library Show.
Sir Clive Loader finds time from his incredibly busy schedule to be today’s guest on The Library Show, behold the power of cake. The highlights from today’s show will be broadcast on our Monday bank holiday special on 31st August. Ruth asks questions posed by the patients of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital.
Brand New Show On Radio Fox
13 July 2015 – A new show begins tonight on Radio Fox. The 6-2-8 Show…
A new show that will run over the summer holiday period will begin tonight. It is called the 6-2-8 Show and as the name suggests it runs from 6pm until 8pm. Marie ‘Smiffy The Girl Wonder’ Smith and Michael Lord will be the hosts. What does the show include. We don’t know it’s all top secret, we’ll all have to tune in tonight to find out. Did I tell you it’s on from 6pm until 8pm?
Radio Fox holds a fundraising book & media sale on Saturday 11th July – From 1pm until 4pm
7 July 2015 – On Saturday 11th July from 1pm until 4pm Radio Fox will be holding a secondhand book & media sale in the reception area of The Glenfield Hospital.
If you need some different reading material or would like to buy some DVDs, CDs or videos come to Glenfield and check out what Radio Fox has for sale. We are fundraising so that our aging audio desk in the studio can be replaced. Maybe you have some books or old videos you would like to donate. So please come along on Saturday to The Glenfield Hospital from 1pm until 4pm. Marie Smith (AKA The Girl Wonder) and Alan T will be in attendance (and Mrs T too)
Radio Fox Goes Green with Asda at Oadby
2 July 2015 – Now you can support Radio Fox by shopping at Asda and putting your Green Token in the container.
The Asda store at Oadby Leicester have accepted a nomination to raise money for Radio Fox through their green token scheme. So if you shop there please ask for your Green Token and put it in the container marked Hospital Radio Fox located at the store.
The money will go towards replacing essential equipment in the studio. Radio Fox is a registered charity and provides a free service broadcasting music and relevant information to the patients of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital 24 hours a day as well as online – every day of the year. We receive no official funding from any source. Radio Fox is run entirely by volunteers.
The Asda green token scheme is part of the Asda Foundation supporting local charities.

Donation to Radio Fox from Caterpillar UK
11 June 2015 – A big thank you to everyone at Caterpillar UK Ltd based in Desford, Leicester for the generous donation of £250 to Radio Fox and a mighty pat on the back to Radio Fox fundraiser Dave Rowe.
The cheque was given to Radio Fox by The Caterpillar Cares Society. This is a voluntary society within Caterpillar UK whose mission is to give something back to the local community. The cheque was presented to Radio Fox fundraiser Mr Dave Rowe by The Caterpillar Cares Society secretary Mr Phil Kelly. Radio Fox Chairwoman Ruth Carroll has written to Phil Kelly thanking his society on behalf of Radio Fox.

17 May 2015 – Radio Fox now has a freephone line from The Glenfield Hospital
Great news for all our listeners at The Glenfield Hospital. You can now dial the Radio Fox studio for free. Simply press *800 on your bedside console and you can call in to Radio Fox for free. Remember that’s “STAR 800” on your bedside console. Now there’s no excuse to call in and ask for a request or to take part in a competition.
Remember Radio Fox only exists to entertain the patients and staff of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital. We have no other purpose, no adverts, and no sponsers.

11 May 2015 – Only 12 days to go until the Radio Fox Eurovision Extravaganza.
Here at Radio Fox you know we’re mad… about music and we also like a party, so to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest, on Saturday 23rd May, Radio Fox will be broadcasting a day of Eurovision themed shows for the patients and staff of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital. One of Radio Fox’s newest presenters, Marie Smith, is organizing the day along with the Foxy King of Eurovision Mr Michael Lord.
