Radio Fox supports Dyslexia Awareness week 2017
02 Oct 2017 – Monday 2nd October to Sunday 8th October is Dyslexia Awareness week 2017.
Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty that primarily affects the ability to learn to read and spell. It often runs in families and stems from a difficulty in processing the sounds in words. Some 10% of the UK population are affected.
Daily themes will be re-enforcing the Aims of the British Dyslexia Association taking one aim each day. From Monday to Friday 5 themes are being promoted. #positivedyslexia2017
Monday 2nd Oct – Early Identification
Tuesday 3rd Oct – Appropriate Teaching Provision
Wednesday 4th Oct – Appropriate Assessments
Thursday 5th Oct – Reasonable Adjustments
Friday 6th Oct – Raising Dyslexia Awareness

It’s Christmas at Radio Fox – Christmas Day
14 December 2014 – Live Shows during the Christmas period. Radio Fox is committed to providing the Patients with music 365 days a year.
Whilst the rest of Leicester is lucky enough to be at home over the Christmas period some people will unfortunately find themselves in hospital during the festive season. As with the other 365 days of the year Radio Fox will be live on Christmas Day providing the patients of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital with festive live shows on Christmas Day.
At 8am Andy Valentine will be walking the festive plank with the Christmas edition of his Pirate Dayz Show. From 10am tuck in to the Christmas Brunchbox with Michael Lord, Richard Leatherland & Ruth Carroll. Richard & Ruth will be back after they’ve done the washing up at 7pm for a Sixties Scene Christmas special.
It’s Christmas at Radio Fox – Christmas Eve
14 December 2014 – Live on Christmas Eve for 1 night only. It’s That Soul & Motown Show Vs Take It To The Bridge. Mirror mirror on the wall who is the Funkiest of them all.
On Christmas Eve tune in at 7pm to hear Alan T and his partner in funk Richard Gundelach host their Funk-n-Soul Christmas special. Normally they are in the studio alternate weeks but for one night only they will be in the studio at the same time. Prepare for a mighty funk battle as they compete to see who has the funkiest playlist of mass destruction… Mrs T’s homemade mince pies for the winner….

9 October 2014 – Radio Fox Director of Engineering receives milestone award from HBA president June Snowden.
The president of the Hospital Broadcasting Association June Snowden visited Radio Fox to present Director of Engineering Mr Pete Bracey with an award for 25 years service. As all Radio Fox members know Radio Fox possibly wouldn’t exist without Pete’s engineering skills. So congratulations to Pete from everyone involved with Radio Fox.
