Thank You For The Music
18 June 2016 – I’m in the mood for Ska
Last night saw the first Radio Fox live music fundraiser. The evening was a great success and several Foxy thank you’s are in order. First and foremost, thank you to the fantastic Kingsize for giving their time and huge talent. Above and beyond that for donating a box full of their latest CD ‘Passport To Ska’ to Radio Fox, so we could sell them on the night, and keep all the money for our cause – thank you so much for your generosity.
A big Foxy thank you to Amanda and all her staff at The Elms Social and Ex-Service Club for the function room and for organising the raffle. Thanks are also due to Funktion Junction PA hire for supplying the excellent PA system.
Thanks to all the Radio Fox presenters, past and present, who helped on the night. Particular mention to DJ Cliff and DJ Nick for Ska-ing the dancefloor. Two Radio Fox presenters representing the longest serving and newest recruit respectively.
Every penny raised will go towards the Radio Fox Audio Desk Appeal. This will ensure Radio Fox will continue to entertain the patients of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital for many years to come.
What’s next… We do it all again on Friday 22nd July, but next time with a Rock-n-Roll theme. On this night it will be the turn of Leicester Rock-n-Roll sensation Mama Don’t Allow to rock the house. Email info@radiofox.co.uk for details.
Once again a big Foxy thank you to all concerned.

Tindy C wins national award for Radio Fox
20 March 2016 – The national Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA) awards were held on Saturday 19th March. These are the hospital radio equivalent of the Oscars. Out of the 100s of entries from every hospital radio station in the country 3 Radio Fox presenters made it into the top 10.
Our successful nominees were for Female Presenter Of The Year: Emily Crewe and Tindy C. Also nominated for Best Specialist Show was Alan T’s It’s That Soul & Motown Show.
On the night Tindy C won the bronze prize so congratulations to Tindy and congratulations to Radio Fox for getting through to the finals. Apart from the partying till dawn an important message was made by the HBA following a national scientific survey on the impact of hospital radio on patients wellbeing. A low resolution image of the results can be seen by Clicking Here. To see the full HBA report Click Here.
Many thanks to all the supporters of Radio Fox for your best wishes. The Fox did good.
