Radio Fox receives a cheque for £1000

04 February 2017 – On Saturday 4th February The Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons distributed over £43,000 to 24 Leicestershire charities.

Radio Fox was amongst those organisations who received a donation.  Radio Fox presenters Marie Smith, Alan T and member Hanni Trahar were present to receive a cheque from the Lord Mayor of Leicester for £1000 towards their new audio desk appeal.

The Freemasons are the unsung heroes of charity donations worldwide and donate millions of pounds to international disaster funds through the Red Cross.  In Leicestershire alone in the past 5 years the Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons have donated more than £850,000 to over 400 non-masonic charities covering all different types of charity.

Radio Fox and all its members would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons for their most generous donation and their welcoming hospitality on the day.  To see the video click here.

Radio Fox media sale at The Glenfield Hospital: Friday 17th February

18 January 2017 – The next Radio Fox fundraising book and media sale will be held on Friday 17th February 2017.

Friday 17th February 2017 10am to 4pm
Come along and bag a bargain….

On Friday 17th February 2017 our next book and media sale will be held at The Glenfield Hospital to help Radio Fox raise funds for new equipment.  Come and buy books, vinyl, videos, CDs or DVDs.  Or if you have loads of books you would like to donate feel free to bring those along on the day.

Every penny raised will go into the fund to replace our ageing studio equipment.

Radio Fox receives no official funding from any source.  We are raising funds to buy new studio equipment so that we can continue to broadcast to the patients of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital.

Radio Fox is run by a dedicated team of 20 or so volunteers and is funded entirely by member’s subscriptions, donations from the public, the generosity of local business, and the continuous fundraising activities of its members.  Radio Fox is staffed totally by unpaid volunteers.
