Up and coming live events, fundraising sales and summer fetes all with your mates from Radio Fox. Come along to the events below to bag a bargain book, vinyl record, CDs and meet some of the Radio Fox team. Not forgetting having a great time in the sunshine.

23 August 2016 – Radio Fox will be at the 2016 GrobyFest – Free Entry on Saturday 27th August at the Groby Ex-Servicemens Club.
This years GrobyFest features fantastic live bands playing all day, Barbecue, bouncy castle plus Radio Fox. It will be held in the car park of the Groby Ex-Servicemens Club 16-18 Leicester Road, Groby, LE6 0DJ Leicester.
With free entry all day the fun begins at 1pm and continues until 7pm. Enjoy the legendary Groby Ex-Servicemen’s Club warm welcome and cheap drinks all day. Meet Cublet, Radio Fox’s newest recruit!

15 August 2016 – A new Rock Show begins on Wednesday 17th August. Radio Fox adds a second great rock show to it’s schedule – The Jurassic Rock show with The Dobster.
Radio Fox Sport anchorman Paul Dobson AKA ‘The Dobster’ steps into the studio on Wednesday’s at 8pm to present The Jurassic Rock Show. Now Foxy rock fans can hear a great rock show twice a week. Rocking out in style every Saturday from 7pm it’s The Leather & Denim Rock Show with Rockin’ Rick Leatherland, it’s the show that’s so full of rock “it rocks up hill…” And now joining Rockin’ Rick is The Dobster on Wednesday’s. Two great presenters, two great rock shows, one rocking Radio Fox.

04 August 2016 – Come on down to the Leicester Racecourse Oadby on Sunday 18th September for a great day out with Motor Madness 2016. Gates open 9:00am until 4:00pm.
You don’t have to be a petrol head to enjoy a great day at out Motor Madness as there will something for everyone. Motor Madness UK is proud to support Help For Heroes as their Charity of the Year. 29 July 2016 – Radio Fox fundraising book and media sale today.
Friday 29th July 10am to 4pm
Come along and bag a bargain….
On Friday 29th July our book and media sale is being held at The Glenfield Hospital to help Radio Fox raise funds for new equipment. Come and buy books, vinyl, videos, CDs or DVDs. Or if you have loads of books you would like to donate feel free to bring those along on the day. Note: We’ve just had a load of computer program manuals donated, so if you’re into Microsoft Word or Excel or even Photoshop best get there early for a bargain.
Every penny raised will go into the fund to replace our ageing studio equipment.
Radio Fox receives no official funding from any source. We are raising funds to buy new studio equipment so that we can continue to broadcast to the patients of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and The Glenfield Hospital.
Radio Fox is run by a dedicated team of 20 or so volunteers and is funded entirely by member’s subscriptions, donations from the public, the generosity of local business, and the continuous fundraising activities of its members. Radio Fox is staffed totally by unpaid volunteers.

This Friday 22nd July we are holding another of our live music events at the The Elms Social and Ex-Service Club Bushloe End in Wigston Leicester LE18 2BA.
So please support Radio Fox and have a great night out at the same time. Come and meet some of our music mad volunteer presenters.
Come and dance to Leicester based Rock & Roll sensation ‘Mama Don’t Allow’ one of Leicester’s most popular bands. Musical support on the night from the Radio Fox presenters.

Leicester Street Choirs Festival 2016

20 June 2016 – On Saturday 25th June over 30 street choirs from around the UK are coming to Leicester to sing songs that bring everyone together. Radio Fox is proud to support the Leicester Street Choirs Festival 2016.
The football may be over but the spotlight is still very much on Leicester. On Saturday 25th June over 30 street choirs from all over the country are heading to Leicester. On this day the whole town centre will be filled with song. Come along and be entertained and inspired. You may even be interviewed for Radio Fox. On Friday 24th June from 7.30pm – 10.30pm there will be a concert in the main auditorium at Curve, “A Showcase of Leicester Talent”. For tickets at £5 contact redleicesterchoir@mail.com or phone Cee on 0116 2593563 (see flyer below)
On Saturday 25th June, at 12.00 noon in Jubilee Square, over 30 choirs from across the UK will be welcomed to Leicester and then join together in a Massed Sing of 4 part harmony songs following the Festival themes of Diversity and Solidarity.
From 1.00pm – 4.00pm on Saturday 25th June the choirs will go to 8 venues around the city centre to busk, raising money for 4 charities, and bringing free harmony singing to the 8 venues. (see flyer and busking schedule below)
At 5.00 pm until late in the main auditorium in Curve, the choirs will each sing in the Choirs Concert, which will be in 3 sections with breaks. For tickets at £5 contact redleicesterchoir@mail.com or phone Cee on 0116 2593563
Three local choirs are taking part, Red Leicester Choir who are the organisers, Leicester Amika Choir and De Montfort Square Mile Choir.
